My philosophy reflects my growth and learning about myself throughout my elementary teaching career and directorship/ownership of Running Start Academy. I've only taken this philosophy test one time, but here are my results. My preference is existentialism, coming in second is social reconstructivism and thirdly progressivism. Each of my scores were neck and neck on these three philosophies.
I believe these results to be an accurate picture of my philosophy in the second half of my 34 years as an elementary teacher. The first 17 was a combination of essentialism, perennialism and progressivism, which I believe to be accurate.
It will be interesting to see how my philosophy will change in my current position as the Director of Elem. Ed. for Central Christian College. It's been a huge change, but a powerful opportunity to lead young professional into the education world whether it be public, Christian or private.
